Just Beachy

What a day! We all enjoyed ourselves though, with free food and drinks out on the beach to kick off a 4 day weekend. Jeremy's troop did this for the guys and their families. Don't forget if you want to see the pictures larger just click on them.
Jeremy's troop (Bravo troop) It is so sad that he has to leave them this fall because he really likes his chain of command now.
Just chillin. Dad and Angie got him this little beach outfit. The shirt has SPF 50 and those are swimming trunks!

We were so close to the airport, just right across the water. I loved it because I could watch the airplanes up close.
The guys threw their first sargeant in.

Can you see the submarine and the "vog" in the background? The volcano on the big island is putting off fog, and it causes haze on Oahu that they call vog.
Love this place!
The guys threw their commander in the ocean too.

It was so cool because we got to watch the submarine come in and out.
Me and Jack out in the waves, don't worry he had on sunblock!

Learning about the big blue ocean

Don't you just wanna jump in?
Sweet baby

At home in his night gown, I LOVE when he wears this.
So we got home and were all so tired, we napped from 6:30 to 9:00! I think we may be off schedule now :( but at least Jeremy has a 4 day weekend for us to recover.

It is always VERY hard for Jeremy to sit still at all, so he decided tonight that it would be a good time to install a car part. I went out there to check on him since I hadn't heard from him in awhile, and he had taken apart lots of things under our hood.....and it smells like gasoline out there. It would probably be smart for him to raise the garage door but he says "naaahh". So here I sit with little bear sleeping away at 1:20 a.m. You watch, when Jeremy and I finally get sleepy guess who will be awake? Tomorrow would be the time back home when we walked across the street to grandma and grandpa's house for a little help so we could take a nap!

Waikiki Weekend

We went to one of our favorite restaurants this past weekend while we were down in Waikiki, The Cheesecake Factory! So good! We split some Buffalo Blasts, a Louisiana Pasta, and some White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cheesecake.

After dinner we cut through to Waikiki Beach to check things out. It was so nice outside.
Below is a view of Diamondhead, a dormant volcano you can climb.
The water was the calmest I have seen in Hawaii. The perfect evening for swimming.

He likes Hawaii, so much to see!

In front of Cheesecake Factory as we were leaving.
Chilling at home. No shoes, no shirt, no problem :)

Jackson is growing so fast. He is still standing really well in our lap if he is holding our fingers and he can even crawl some as long as he has something to kick off of. He has started making the cutest pouty faces and also learned to make a different high pitched cooing sound before and after sneezing, after and during eating, and when he is trying to get attention. It is so cute, we need to video it! He had his first diaper blowout in daddy's hand the other night in the store too haha!! We used lots of wipes in PriceBusters. The bathroom was closed for cleaning so we had to hike through the mall to the other one before I could get that mess really cleaned up.

He is eating so much too. Last night, he took a full 9 ounce bottle like a champ, and it had 3 tsp of cereal in it. We go in on the 18th for his 2 month appointment.

Life's a Beach

Guess where we went for Jackson's 6 week birthday?? His first trip to the beach, the North Shore to be exact. He was looking around and so curious!

On our way down there
I always think it is so strange how the ocean looks like it is higher than ground level when you are driving towards it.
We stopped for Snow Cones(Shave Ice as they call it)

Jeremy got one with an island fruit flavor on it, it was so good! Le Hing Mui I think, Japanese for sour plumb.
Jackson was excited about the adventure.

Aloha Folks!

Keeping him out of the sun, don't want to burn!
Relaxing in the ocean breeze :)

Sand between the toes for the first time in his life
I just love these feet

With daddy
Does this mean it is bath time mommy?
The sun wasn't quite setting yet, we had to go get formula or we would have stayed for it.

Guess who got hungry before we got back to the car?
Beautiful mountains on the way home
That ocean is serious business!

Heading home, across the pineapple fields you can see where the mountain meets the ocean
Pineapple field!
What a day....
