We are leaving in the morning at 9:00 for Nashville!! Brian is doing awesome so far with his songs this year. He has written at least 8 and his fans are growing in Arkansas, Texas, Tennessee, and Louisiana. I am his biggest critic and I truly believe he will make it one day, Nashville Star or not!! Just wanted to let everyone know where we will be for the next couple of days. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like we will be home for Easter. He doesn't have his hopes up too high because the show is a lot like American Idol. NBC is producing it this year. Anyway, keep us in your prayers please. Mom, Ashley and I will be in line all night holding a spot for Brian. He needs his rest for the 30 second tryout :).
We have been in Austin the past couple of days, we got in at 3:00 this morning and we are worn out!! The tryouts there were a nightmare. It rained on us when the sun was coming up and it was cold and windy! None of us slept at all until after auditions. We took a 2 hour nap(at 1 p.m) and then drove home (9 hours). They took some people that couldn't sing AT ALL. They had good sob stories and/or were incredibly different. If you watch the show you will see :) Anyway, Brian told them he would see them at the second round of auditions in Nashville, and they taped it the whole time. So even if he doesn't make it to the finals there is a really good chance he will at least be on national t.v.
A certain little girl saw the luggage and DID NOT want me to leave
A picture of the line at about 3 a.m. Brian is in the red chair wearing brown. He had his guitar out and was singing with about 5 other people. The man in the wheel chair to the left made it past auditions. He were really happy for him.
At about 9 a.m. The rain had finally stopped!
(Below)Brian in front of the Hyatt regency and the big white catering tent. They had that tent set up and wouldn't let people under it because it was for the caterers. If you chose you could PURCHASE your own breakfast from them for $20. However, once you got your food you had to get back out in the pouring down rain and eat it. I didn't see one person buy breakfast :) The caterers didn't even get set up until maybe 8:30 that morning.
Brian and one of the ladies we waited in line with. She auditioned with him (they went into the audition room in groups of 5).We have been in Austin the past couple of days, we got in at 3:00 this morning and we are worn out!! Brian (in brown, back to the camera) taking it all in, and the sun was finally coming up! Grandpa is in front of him in the gray sitting down.
