I'm so sorry I still don't have any pictures to post! I finally get internet at home on January 8th and I'll have some then. I talked to Jeremy today, they are all moved in at their post in Taji. He said it is pretty boring so far because they are taking over the jobs of guys from Fort Hood, TX and those guys haven't left for home yet. Jeremy's crew hasn't officially taken over so they have nothing to do really. They get internet sometimes at an internet cafe on post but he doesn't get to stay on for long. Also, I now have a contact number for him. You can call his cell (it is an Iraq number) any time. Please call me and I'll give you his number. He would love to hear from everyone. He gets free incoming calls but if you call him, the international rates apply on your end. I bought a phone card at www.nobelcom.com. You can get about 6 hours for $50.

I will be making this page a "private" site in a couple of days, since there is a lot of info about Jeremy in Iraq, etc. All this means is that you have to set up a password and sign in to read the page. It is really simple and I hope everyone still visits the site! I just didn't want strangers coming on here and reading about whats going on in Iraq. You never know what kind of information they are looking for. Also, this way I can post his mailing address and phone number. All family and friends please sign up and keep logging on!

We went to church today at First Baptist White Hall. Jeremy went here before he joined the army. Bob Harper is the preacher there and we really enjoy him. I was SO glad that we went because we got to see (sp?)Garrett Keedy(our cousin) go forward and accept Jesus into his heart. It was wonderful! We are very happy for you Garrett! We are going to start driving out to White Hall for church on Sundays because we like it so much. Mom, grandpa, and Brian had never been there until today.

Seven Falls

A very fun day today! We took a drive up to Colorado Springs and went to see the 7 falls. Part of the trails are blocked off in the winter time but we still got to see plenty! It started snowing as soon as we got there too it was great!

Mule deer in the road!

I loved this little place at the bottom of the mountain.
The mountain elevator. Dad and I took the elevator the first time, Ashley and Brian rode down with us.
Then on the other part of the mountain there was not an elevator to climb, we had to climb these stairs! It was pretty scary.
This was from the store at the bottom of the mountain
Another view of the tunnel through the mountain to get to the elevator.

Steep and slick!

Once we got to the bottom of the stairs FINALLY (after I climbed down them backwards because I didn't want to slide down) they had closed down the mountain with us on it! I guess the snow got bad enough that they had to. The rest of the place was still open though. It was pretty scary going down. The stairs were made of metal and they weren't very thick stairs at all! Brian was the most afraid going down :)

Cripple Creek

We went to Cripple Creek today and it was beautiful! It was a long drive through the mountains, which eventually took a toll on everyone. We climbed to over 9000 feet and I got really light headed and nauseated! I drank lots of water and got to feeling better thank goodness! There wasn't really anywhere to pull over had I gotten sick. Once we were in Cripple Creek there were like 6 or 7 wild donkeys roaming around the town. They were so cute. Dad has the pictures I'll upload them later. Also, if anyone would like to have Jeremy's address call me or email and I'll be happy to give it to you!

More from Colorado!

Since we had been going nonstop, today was mostly a stay at home day. We didn't visit many places since we were catching up on sleep. However we did make it to the community center to play basketball and volleyball. We also went to Best Buy to buy a wireless router for dad's house, which is why I'm able to get online tonight!! Last night we went to Denver to the 16th street mall. It is beautiful!! We didn't buy much, just looked around! Jeremy called this morning and he is kind of ready to get to Iraq and settled in. ( In Iraq there are better possibilities for phone and Internet). But he is doing fine and already ready to come home! I wanted to post some more pictures before I got behind. This picture was from our last day in Hawaii :) I miss him so much At the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs

Do you see Brian jumping off the rock in mid-air?? Navy blue sweater...arm raised?? Scared me half to death. I was taking his picture up there then suddenly he turned around and jumped!
