I had some really cute pics to post but Jeremy already packed his SD card reader into our 100 pound 3rd piece of checked luggage (not counting the stroller) so I'll have to wait. Arkansas here we come! Get ready because I have some hotel pictures and some of Jackson in the Ocean :) We went to a lagoon at Waikiki today! Things are great we are packed and ready. Slow Internet but better than none at all. See you soon and Mahalo!

Suddenly I would like to leave today please

Gates: US puts more missile defense around Hawaii

WASHINGTON – The United States has positioned more missile defenses around Hawaii as a precaution against a possible North Korean launch across the Pacific, Defense Secretary Robert Gates said Thursday. "We do have some concerns if they were to launch a missile to the west in the direction of Hawaii," Gates said.

Gates told reporters at the Pentagon he has sent the military's ground-based mobile missile system to Hawaii, and positioned a radar system nearby. Together the systems theoretically could detect and shoot down a North Korean missile if it came to that.

"Without telegraphing what we will do, I would just say ... we are in a good position, should it become necessary, to protect Americans and American territory," Gates said.

A Japanese newspaper reported Thursday that North Korea might fire its most advanced ballistic missile toward Hawaii around the Fourth of July holiday.

A new missile launch — though not expected to reach U.S. territory — would be a brazen slap in the face of the international community, which punished North Korea with new U.N. sanctions for conducting a second nuclear test on May 25 in defiance of a U.N. ban.

North Korea spurned the U.N. Security Council resolution with threats of war and pledges to expand its nuclear bomb-making program.

The missile now being readied in the North is believed to be a Taepodong-2 with a range of up to 4,000 miles (6,500 kilometers), and would be launched from North Korea's Dongchang-ni site on the northwestern coast sometime around July 4, Independence Day in U.S., the Yomiuri newspaper said.

It cited an analysis by Japan's Defense Ministry and intelligence gathered by U.S. reconnaissance satellites.--------------------------------------------

While I don't think this is going to happen, this makes me a little claustrophobic out here. I'm sure you understand, I hate this missle stuff.

Happy Birthday Jeremy!

His cake had Happy birthday Jeremy written around the edges

Happy baby!

We are ready for the movers! Today was Jeremy's birthday, and although we had a yum Cold Stone Creamery Cake, the rest of the day was steady packing our 5 checked items and 3 carry ons :( How are 2 people supposed to get all that through the airport? With a stroller carseat and baby? I guess we will see. Jackson slept the entire time we were packing! I may regret it later tonight but it really helped us get things done. I think he slept from 5-11, which is when Jeremy woke him up to feed him. For dinner tonight I was pulling things out of the refrigerator trying to use everything up that I could haha! I made a strange pasta...I told Jeremy to hurry up and eat it while it was hot because once it cooled off it was probably indigestible :). It wasn't that bad.

Here is our sweet baby sleeping with his puppy while we packed

Pretty sky the other night from our back yard. Our living room looked pink and it was really pink outside. So pretty!
My 12 week old! I had 2 ladies at the PX the other day that were shocked that he was only almost 3 months old. One woman approache me about a play date for her 9 month old because she saw Jackson in his stroller and thought they were about the same age. He still weighs 15 lbs and is 23.3 inches long (I think). The way he stands and balances you would think he was older!
He loves holding his animals while he sleeps

Feeling like Gypsies

This past weekend was fun and relaxing. We had dinner outside at Taco del Mar in Kunia on Friday night after going to Old Navy. I also had to return some stuff to Wal-Mart nearby. Saturday we stayed in and did nothing. It was great! Sunday we went to Toys R Us, Target and to Big City Diner. I like the salads they have there and Jeremy was wanting a good burger. Wow how our weekends have changed!

This pic is from the Old Navy parking lot

Me and Jackson outside at Taco Del Mar
At Toys R Us. Jackson was so cute he was very interested in the toys and kept grabbing for them. We will have to get this little puppy, it plays music, lights up and asks for hugs!
He loved it
Me, Jack, and my huge salad

Our street
Yesterday we had to take Jackson to his ortho appointment for the popping in his shoulder (everything was normal). Tripler finally called almost 3 weeks later about his referral. These doctors were really good, thorough, and come to find out, civilians. He had his first x-ray :( of course Jeremy went in with him for that. I was going to but only one person could go in.

Note to Jackson: You have a great daddy. He is very hands on and wants to be there for EVERYTHING even if it means mommy has to wait outside haha!
Every time we go to the doctor this boy is starving even if we fed him right before we go there.
He isn't feeling good here
Waiting on x-ray results

I'm fine!

Nap time Monday

Now to the gypsy part

Let me tell you a little more about our week. After waiting 3 hours in the travel office on Monday we got our flights booked and everything set up. The army is going to pay for part of my ticket home(thank you) but in order to do so, we have to do a couple of things. Take a money order to Fort Shafter and pay for the remainder then bring us back the confirmation and you are good to go. Sounds kind of simple.

Yesterday, after nothing getting accomplished up at work for Jeremy (due to everyone meeting with a new squadron commander) he goes to the PX (where they told him to go for a money order) He drew a number and waited 20 minutes...got to the counter and they told him as of May 31st they no longer do money orders :) So he goes to the post office and he counted 35 people ahead of him in line (typical for Schofield Barracks) got to the front of the line and the PIN pad wasn't working. You have to use a debit card or cash for a money order so he is out of luck again. He comes home and picks up me and Jackson and we head to Mililani post office. That went great, I was in and out in 2 minutes and there was no line. I came out and he has the hood up on the car, apparently we had a little leak no biggie he says he can fix it. We head to Fort Shafter (about 20 minutes away). They have temporary offices set up because they are changing things up over there, so we had to stop and ask twice to find someone that knew where the finance office was located. After driving around way longer than we planned, we found the finance office! The time was now around 1:45 pm. Jeremy goes to the door and it is locked. They are closed all day for training on Tuesday, June 9th and will reopen again on Wednesday June 10th at 7:30 am. Nice. I had to laugh but Jeremy was getting so frustrated I felt bad for him!

We are happy to have orders, but the main problem is that they gave them to us SO last minute and we have so much cramming to do in such little time, especially Jeremy. He has tons of clearing to do before he can ever leave the island. Combine that with having to ship the car off and the movers taking all our stuff 8 days before we leave the island and things can be a little tense. Our stuff won't be shipped until he finishes school in September. We are flying into Dallas (where they will ship our car) but we will beat the car there so we have to figure out if Brian is coming to get us or are we renting a car and driving home or will the car make it in time miraculously. If we ship it tomorrow it would get there in time but then we have to pay for a rental for two weeks. So what to do? We don't know. If we ship the car when planned, we will get to Arkansas and our car will arrive in Dallas around a week to two weeks later probably :) Which means we head back to Dallas to get our car! Isn't this fun? Soon after the car arrives, Jeremy has to head to Virginia...unless the car arrives after he leaves in which case I have to have a power of attorney again to even pick it up myself. He spends 7 weeks in school out there, they ship our stuff to Kentucky and we have to find a house all in September. We can't get on the list for housing until then because he has to pass the school first. Right now we hear there is a 6 month wait, sooo we will have to figure out something then I guess. Our stuff will arrive and we will have to have a place to put it! Since so many people are PCSing from Hawaii right now things are extra difficult and slow too. We are keeping smiles on our faces though! Laughing through all the speed bumps and holding on for the ride! One thing about it, he has job stability.

My Little Man

Is learning how to stick out his tongue!
Little Jeremy
Being precious like mommy....haha!
He is learning to blow bubbles

Smiling more

Stole my heart :)

So the other day we went for a 2.5 mile walk around our neighborhood. Jackson was looking around and was very curious for awhile, then he napped the rest of the time. We live in a valley, so there is a huge hill that leads up to everything, and that hill wore me out. We walked all the way up to the top where our road meets H2 (highway) Our shirts were soaked by the time we got back home and I loved it. It was so great to get out and get my heart pumping and enjoy the pretty flowers while I can (since we are leaving very soon). There is a great sidewalk for walking all through the valley, and there is an even more scenic sidewalk at one part of the walk, which we took. We won't again because the mosquitos were pretty bad. Weather wise it is in the high eighties here and pretty humid, instead of a little bit milder like we are used to. I heard it has been hot in Arkansas too! Summer is upon us. Then again, in Arkansas it could be hot in December.

Entrance to Jackson's neighborhood
Our garage, every time we get settled its time to reorganize, pack, turn stuff in, and off we go.

I love the vivid colors of the flowers around here. Bright red, purple, orange and yellow. Next time I'm taking more pics!
