Still Waiting on R&R!

I am very happy that this is the last day of June, because Jeremy will be home in July! All we can do is wait, which is going to drive us crazy I think. Anyway, it is almost time!
Logan had his first birthday party Saturday. He had a blast!
Me and Jeremy's grandpa, Papaw Louis
Logan's first birthday cake.
The other night was so pretty, we sat outside at grandma and grandpa's house and had watermelon. It is officially summer!!

I drove to Benton for girl's night tonight. We had a lot of fun. First we went shopping in Bryant and then we went to Colton's for supper. We ran into my cousins Aunt Sherrie and Uncle Charlie (technically cousins but they have always been Aunt and Uncle to me), along with my cousin Charlie and his wife Anna. It was a good night! We went in at Jana's to see Andrew and Lola for a minute.
Brandi, Me, Jana, and Lola my niece :)

Mondays are pretty routine for us, the only thing in my life that is routine actually. Before The Bachelorette, we went to the Monday night Mazzio's buffett as usual. This time we had extra company!
Logan, Eric, and Kira met us for dinner. We had a good time, Brian was our server! He did good, especially for being so busy!

After dinner Ashley and I went home and met mom to watch The Bachelorette. We were very happy with her decision tonight! There are 3 weeks left (I think) of the show, so chances are Jeremy will get to sit in on one of the final episodes. I'm sure he is thrilled! So that is all for now, I should hear from Jeremy later tonight.

Last full week of June!!

Well as usual, Brian did great at his show in Magnolia on Saturday night! We had a good trip down there and back. We got home after 1 a.m. but again it was worth it! He got a letter in the mail today from The Grapevine Opry in Texas. He is very excited because it is a great place to sing. It is huge and there are lots of important people there.

Brian and his friend Brad sang a duet

Brian, Brad and their girls at "The Beef and Biscuit" a restaurant we always stop at on the way home.
Grandma and Mom

Since Saturday, I have been trying to get ready for Jeremy to get here, deep cleaning, etc. It is kind of early but at the same time I never know when he is going to catch a plane. Plus, time will slip up on me no matter when he gets to the states. He is working very hard out there, also preparing to be gone for a month. He called me a minute ago and was finally going to bed. He slept from 5 a.m to 7 a.m this morning and that was it.

Mom and Ashley will be here soon for our weekly viewing of The Bachelorette. I am so glad for the new summer shows that help me get through the week!

We got in from Mississippi late last night. We decided to come home early and not spend the extra night there. It was a fun but quick trip! The training went well and mom thinks she is really going to like the job. The hotel they put us in was really nice too. I talked to Jeremy on Wednesday and he is doing great! We are pretty disappointed because he won't be home for our anniversary on July 7th. We don't know when he will get here, but we know it won't be by the 7th. We figured that would happen, so it isn't really a shocker for us or anything. I am still getting things ready for him to be home. I'm trying to think of everything I need to do before he gets here (stuff he will need, etc.) I got him some flip flops and shirts to wear, since most of our stuff is in a storage building in Hawaii and we won't be seeing it until March 2009. Who knows when he will get here but probably within a month I will get to see him :) and I want everything to be ready and stress free!! He needs as much R&R as possible!

We saw an "old school" Sonic in Olive Branch, brought back memories!
Mom and I being creative at one of our stops.

So Whats New...

Chloe misses her daddy, it is a good thing he will be home soon!! (You don't have to tell me I'm insane I already know this...but she does miss him dearly).

And also likes peaches
She is proud of herself
Barney is experiencing the dog days of summer, he never wants to go outside even for a minute! He is such a good boy too...he can hold it for days.
If only sister would leave him alone!
We had dinner at a loud Texas Roadhouse for Father's Day. It was good but too crowded! Jeremy called while we were in there and I went outside to talk to him for a little bit.
By now I think you know the family so I will quit naming everyone in the pics :)
After we got back into Sheridan, we went to Papaw Shoptaw's house to visit with him and Rosie. We stayed there until 12:30 a.m. sitting in the kitchen talking. It was fun!
Monday was Jeremy's Birthday, turned 25 again. He was very busy that day! I think he may have slept from 6a.m. to 8 a.m. Hopefully the next time he turns 25, he will be home!! We still have no idea when he will be home for R&R. Everything ran smoothly out there until June, and everyone's dates got messed up...so there is no telling when he will actually get here.
Today grandma and I helped mom with merchandising at her stores. She had a lot to do and very little time to do it in. We finished though, at about 9:30 tonight. Grandpa came over for a short visit before I left. The pups were happy to see him! So I guess that is all for now, I work tomorrow night and I am leaving on Wednesday to go with mom to some training out of state and we'll be back in town this weekend...just in time to leave town again to go to Magnolia to see Brian sing. To all of my friends, thank you for being there for me and understanding the craziness that has always been my life :) I love you very much and I thank you for making my quality of life one hundred times better. I hope we can spend more time together soon. That also goes to my family! Thank you for keeping me busy and putting up with my deployment mood swings. I was just thinking today, about how much I have changed due to the war speed bump. I am so thankful that I have been surrounded by such awesome people that keep me OCCUPIED almost all the time, since time flies when you're busy....however I think the little bit of sanity I had left flew out the window with my time. Oh and this part about not being able to plan our future hasn't helped me or Jeremy out one bit!! But I appreciate you listening to me try to act like I've got it all figured out.....right.

Encore

We went to hear Brian sing Saturday night in Clarksville and he did so good! He sang about 10 extra songs that they had not planned on, just because everyone wasn't ready to leave. This was his second time to play there, and he had a standing ovation welcome and exit. They called him back onto the stage after he was finished and almost wouldn't let him leave. They had lots of requests. We got home at about 2 a.m. but it was worth it.
Big news....Little Miss Chloe has decided to adopt the turtle. She always finds him first thing when she goes outside.
We are working on learning how to play gently though, she was getting pretty rough with him.

Jeremy is back at Taji now, which is pretty good for him. He can do his job better and he only shares a room with one other guy. They usually aren't there at the same time either. There are more choices for food at Taji as well, so maybe he will put that weight back on that he lost :) The only negative about Taji is that we are going to have to start paying for internet there so that he can have it on his computer. Even at $60 a month, that is cheaper than what we spend on phone calls. We probably went through $100 the past couple of days. We really don't care though it is so worth it. We would stay on the phone if we could! R&R dates are getting messed up pretty badly out there, so I MIGHT get 24 hour notice of him coming home if that. I wish I could tell everyone some concrete dates but we won't have them until he calls me from an airport in the United States. We cancelled our cabin early to save some of our deposit. They have a very strict cancellation/refund/reschedule policy, even if it is due to military. Thanks a lot An Enchanting Evening.....located on Pinnacle mountain.....her name is wendy quaid if you would like to give them a call :)

Our week with the Disselers...

On Sunday night Dave, Erin, Kevin and baby #2 Disseler made it to town! They are our really good friends from Hawaii. Dave was in the army with Jeremy through basic and then they were both stationed in Hawaii. The Disseler's now live in Springfield which is awesome because we are close! Brian, Ashley and I met them at the hotel and then we went to dinner at Chili's. Our server was new so we were there for quite awhile...

On Monday Chloe met her first turtle, and she let everyone know about it! I heard her barking and went out there. I was hoping to see a turtle and not a snake!
That night Dave and Erin came down to Sheridan to see where we live and to eat dinner at Mazzio's with me and Ashley. Afterwards we came home and watched t.v. and stuff.

I don't have any kids toys at my house, but Kevin entertained himself with plenty of other things.
Guess where we went Tuesday.....

It was an absolutely hot day for the zoo, but we had fun! Erin, Kevin and I loaded up and got there at about 1:30. They close at 5 but we had plenty of time. Unfortunately, most of the animals were too hot to come out and show their faces. Some exhibits were under construction too, which was very disappointing. It was so hot that we probably wouldn't have seen everything anyway. We did get to see the tigers, bears, jaguars, apes, monkeys, alligators and reptiles though. The otter(one of my favs) even came out for a quick visit.

On the train!

Taking a break in the cafe, Jeremy called while we were in here.

I don't remember taking this....Erin?? :) This was also in the cafe, probably while I was talking to Jeremy. Good picture!
Wednesday Dave had to do some training til about 4:30, so when he was finished they came down to cookout with the family! We stayed outside until dark. Everything was really good, thank you grandma and grandpa! We love you.

The men hanging out in the dining room (minus Brian and Jeremy!)

We had so much fun this week, too bad they don't live closer!

I got to talk to Jeremy for about an hour today, he is feeling better and doing fine! His birthday is coming up and then he will be home soon. We are both so excited.
