Brian's Show, Jeremy Update

Jeremy is still doing good, I'm waiting on him to call me back. He did get a new phone last week so he is easier to hear. If anyone would like more info on phone cards and stuff call me whenever. I didn't hear back from Jeremy yesterday because they had unexpected visitors. I can't really say much about it on here unfortunately but he was in no danger and he had to escort them. He also found out that they won't notify him until the 15th of the month prior to his R&R. So we probably won't be going to Disneyworld. It will be really hard to plan on such notice plus we can save money this way I guess.
Anyway, we have been working a lot! I think we put in almost 40 hours already. I feel bad leaving the dogs alone so much :( Brian had a show in Jonesboro Saturday night and he did good!
This is one song that my camera held out on. ( I need a new camera). You will probably have to go to the bottom of this page and pause the music on the playlist so that you can hear the clip.

Someone had a bath....and thought she was being soooo mistreated.
Jeremy hitched a ride on a convoy headed back to his original post today, so tonight he was safe and sound in his own army issued for the next year and a half bed :) He was glad to get back. Now he is waiting on a package I sent him with a new wireless card for his computer. Someone stole his wireless card that he brought with him, so he still doesn't know what kind of internet access he will have. I sent the package on Friday so we will see how long it takes to make it out there.

I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow yay! Tonight my temperature is an even 100.0 and I can't lay down without coughing. I'm sure you have all been there plenty of times so you know how aggravating that is when you're sleepy

I talked to Jeremy today finally! He is doing good and should be back at his home base tomorrow. They finally released everyone to call out so he called as soon as he could. He has been out and about some in the towns and has really seen what things are like out there. He got to talk with and stay with some of the local police and mayor the past couple of days(He can't tell me where). They were very friendly and accommodating to him, and are trying so hard to work with our army on rebuilding. He said the mayor keeps offering him chocolate and he had Internet access quite a bit. They are definitely feeding him well out there because he dropped his phone in brisket today...and it doesn't really work now. We have to buy a new one already! He is kind of glad he got to go on this mission because he got to meet people that are working with them instead of against them and that was encouraging. It worked out well that he messed his phone up, because he borrowed someone else's to call me and I could hear him so well! The best I've heard him since I left Hawaii in fact. So, now we know that it was his phone that made it hard for us to hear and we know what kind of phone to buy.

I am having a time trying to get the medical insurance transferred to Arkansas. I am so sick, as time went by today I just got worse (chest congestion, throat, and coughing). Jeremy had the same stuff last week and had to go to the doctor ( guess I caught it through the phone). The hard part is finding a doctor to take Tricare. I could always drive to Jacksonville Air Force Base I guess, but I don't feel like that at all. AND my car is messing up. Anyway, Chloe and Barney are right here to keep me warm and Brian takes care of the 24/7 musical entertainment....

I got an e-mail from Jeremy today. He is safe but I haven't talked to him in 4 days. They can't call (and aren't supposed to e-mail) until they are released to call again. Several of their soldiers were injured and one was killed later last week so they cut off their communications. At least I know Jeremy is okay, but I can't wait to talk to him!
Last night Kira, Eric and I went to Olive Garden. It was soo good! Then we came back to Sheridan to hang out at home. Ashley came over too. It was nice to just sit at home and play with Logan and the pups. Logan and Ashley below :)
Chloe and Logan playing, they played so well together.
Logan and Eric
They were challenging each other to play!
They are getting really close, sometimes outside Chloe sleeps on top of Barney now because the grass is too cold. So cute!

Well this is probably pretty boring to most people, but if you love dogs (and you know me) then you understand why I would post this video. Its me and Brian playing with Chloe and getting her to howl/talk. I thought Jeremy would like to see his baby girl

Our nephew Logan (Jeremy's brother's baby) with grandma Here he is with grandpa
Logan came to visit me the other day (along with Kira and Eric) We had a lot of fun with him. I was having some electrical issues last week so Eric checked it out for me. Turns out it was no big deal. Afterwards we went to dinner at Mazzio's with grandma and grandpa."Mommy why would you think I have been digging? I'm a good girl?"

I talked to Jeremy today and he was doing good. Tomorrow morning he has to leave post for the first time so please be thinking about him and praying for him. They have really seen more action than expected so far. He is about a mile from the post perimeter so he has been able to hear and see things going on lately.A couple of nights ago Jeremy said the eastern sky was lit up all night long.We still have no word on when he gets to come home for R&R. They have given us a window of March 3rd-December 3rd, sooo pretty much some time this year which we knew already. Our phone card has been acting up the past week or so. I am looking for a different company to go through. The majority of our conversations sound like this: "What did you say?", "Go ahead", "You go first", "Sorry what?", "I didn't hear you", "Are you there?", "Are you talking to me?", "huh?", "Oh I was saying I couldn't hear you", "Can you hear me?", "I was saying...." Then I hear the recording say "Please enter the number you would like to call". We go through this like 5 times and it is so aggravating! I'm sorry to be complaining but 14 more months of this is overwhelming.

On a happier note, We are already over a month into the deployment! I'm working full time for the tax office and also starting back at Mazzio's part time next week. I'm just trying to stay busy and catch up financially. Two incomes again will help a lot! Chloe has been hilarious lately. She is so spoiled :)

I went to the dentist today and I have to get 2 crowns (follow up work from when I was in Hawaii) and eventually have 2 wisdom teeth removed :(. Then I will be all caught up on my dental work finally. I have the worst luck with teeth, but fortunately Jana (long time best bud) works for Harris and Reynolds Family Dentistry in Otter Creek. They see me a lot there....and have had several after hours calls! So next Tuesday I go in for 2 crowns just in time for the fiscal period for our insurance rolls over! I lucked out there too. I still have to pay 50% though so that's no good. Anyway, I guess that is all for now. Just ready for the weekend!

I turned 25!

My 25th birthday weekend was a lot of fun. We didn't get a full group picture ( I totally forgot to) but here is a picture of all the girls that went out Friday night. My cousin Aaron was there too I was glad to see him!

On Saturday, my actual birthday, we had a little party at grandma and grandpa's house. I loved my Little Mermaid cake. After this Brian and Ashley took me to Shogun's and the George Strait concert. I had a great 25th! I just wish Jeremy could have been there.

Wednesday, January 9, 2008

Well, I finally got to start working a little bit the past couple of nights. I think for the first time in 9 years I was actually bored today. I totally forgot what that felt like! I did get to go to lunch today with Kira (no pics I forgot my camera). That was fun we went to Mazzio's for the lunch buffet. I guess today was my cheat day on weight watchers...... Tomorrow mom and I are heading to Benton to get the office set up. I really hate to leave Chloe all day every day but I really need to work....for the money and the sanity :) I think I'll put her in the back yard with Barney and she'll be fine. She loves to play outside and Barney tolerates her really well.

Barney and his nanna.
Chloe is getting so long!

I'm waiting on Jeremy to call me back now. We keep talking for maybe 5 minutes and then we'll either get cut off or he'll have to call me back because someone needs him. It is really hard not to get frustrated when you have so much to talk about and can't. I know its not his fault AT ALL but its hard not to get upset at the situation. I guess no wife ever wants to come second to anything but when the army is involved they must come first. I'm glad they keep them focused, otherwise they might get too comfortable and let their guard down out there. We knew it was going to be hard and I did expect this. I'm just glad that we have phones and don't have to rely on letters alone. It could be worse!

This is the sibling pic we had done while we were in Colorado. These are our step-sisters Jennifer (left) and Audrey (bottom) and then of course me (top) and Brian (right).
Looking at the wedding pics tonight and this was one of my favorites. I think if you click on it you can see it larger.
Keep Him in Your Prayers!!
Nothing new is really going on around here. Jeremy has been really busy at work, but I still get to talk to him quite a bit. They are working on dates for his R & R, but we still don't know when that will be. They are trying to make him come home in March but he is trying to get it between June-August that way he will be about half way finished with the deployment. If he comes home in March it will really make the second half of the deployment seem long.
Mom and I start work on Monday at the new tax office in Benton (Morrison Tax Service...it's in the Lincoln Square Shopping Center) . We are really excited about it. Since my poor car is almost done for, I will be riding with mom every day. It really worked out for us though, this way we can save in gas and not have to ride alone! We aren't exactly sure what the hours are but we know it will be at least 40 hours a week. Tax season means a lot of long hours but that is good for the business. Shari Morrison is a good friend of mom's and she owns the office in Sheridan too.

I have these pictures that I thought were cute. This first one was the day I flew in from Hawaii. Barney and Chloe were glad to see me and I was so tired! We all fell asleep on the couch :)

Brother and Sister
She is so funny
I love my Barney These pups have kept me smiling since I have been home, and some days it is really hard for me to smile.
